Grows on the ground in deciduous or mixed woods. Almost spherical to begin with it slowly expands and flattens out.

The fawny-brown cap blends to cream at the periphery.

The cream-coloured velar remains are irregular like small corn-flakes and quite un-like those on its' sibling Fly Agaric and are ready to flake off.

The gills are white and fine. Here they are hanging off somewhat. The stipe (stem) is cream-coloured too.


Easily confused with : The Blusher and the very poisonous Panther Cap.
