The expanded polyurethane-looking pores stain a temporary blue colour upon impression or damage, caused by oxidation. It seems obvious that the staining so suffered is only temporary, and it will revert to its original colour in due course. |

The pores are very small and narrow. The netting on the stipe is stretched towards the base. The mushroom beneath it is not of the same type. |
