Hybridises with : Bridewort (Spiraea salicifolia) to produce Confused Bridewort [aka Willow-leaved Bridewort] (Spiraea × billiardii) which also occurs widely throughout most of the UK.

Some similarities to : Confused Bridewort (Spiraea × billiardii), a hybrid between Pale Bridewort and Bridewort (Spiraea salicifolia), this but that usually has bright pink petals that are rarely white and to Steeplebush (Spiraea ), which also has pink petals (not pale pink) but the leaves are only serrated at the far end and the panicle is more or less cylindrical rather than conical. The much rarer Lenge's Spiraea (Spiraea ) also has pale pink petals, but the leaves are shorter of differing shape and again the serrations occur only near the apex.
