Some similarities to : Other Persicarias.

Distinguishing features : The dark chevron shape sometimes found on the leaves. Most flowers have but two stigmas (but perhaps not all) whilst the achemes (seeds) are three-angled.

Once used by Shetlanders for a yellow dye.
