Some similarities to : Uniquely identifiable characteristics : there is no other flower quite like this with six large yellow outwardly curled petals hanging downwards and suspended from a short stem at the top which curls over downwards like an umbrella handle. No relation to : Fringed Water-Lily [a plant with similar name] Much more likely to be found growing in or near a garden than in the wild, although it does escape into the wild. Some garden varieties seem to be branched, with a flower atop each branch.
